Plum Blossom IChing Divination. Mei Hua DivinationThe Mei Hua Divination, or Plum Blossom IChing Divination has its roots in the Sung Dynasty (960-1972), with a legendary individual named Shao, Kang Chieh (1011-1077). Shao was just a government official. He devoted his life to the study of the I Ching to the point of obsession. He is known for his expertise in predicting events through the use of the I Ching. His method method of I Ching Divination is called the Mei Hua or Plum Blossom IChing divination. This method derives the I Ching hexagrams by calculating date and time or referencing objects and circumstances. This is very interesting, since there is no need to cast coins or used the Yarrow Stalks. The derived Hexagram, the changing line of the hexagram and the final hexagram is then analyzed for the answers, often without referencing the Book Of Changes. The advantage of this method is that it can be done anytime, anywhere in a short time (provided the diviner is experienced enough). |
