Personalities of Astrology Stars in Zi Wei Dou Shu
There are 14 Major Stars and 18 Helper Stars
in Zi Wei Dou Shu. These are the main stars discussed here. There
are, however 30 or so helper stars in existence, but these are
not really necessary, since the the chart with the main stars are
challenging enough and adequate for effective readings.
Some of these stars undergo Transformations. Transformations are energies that
affect the properties of the stars they transform. There are 4
classes of Transformations. These transformation are esssential
for reading natal charts, 10-year cycles and 1-year cycles, since
they change with the cycles.
Note that for this website, unlike others, we try to leave the
star naming in Chinese. We try not to give them arbitrary names.
Most schools of Zi Wei Dou Shu translate the names of these
stars, and it may be confusing when we try to compare them. We
want our site to be understandable to all, so we leave them in
their original names. It may be difficult at first to remember
all the chinese names, but memorize. That is also a way to learn
more effectively. Alternatively, you may give your own names to
the stars and chart them accordingly.
